Lillian Leadbetter Releases “The World to Come,” an immersive world of dreamy and contemplative indie folk.

Transformaton is the thread that inspires and binds Lillian Leadbetter’s newest record “The World to Come”, into an immersive world of dreamy and contemplative indie folk. Lillian’s 10 track record reflects her life of continuous motion and commitment to growth and discovery.
“Though the themes that sparked each song on the record are varied, from cinema to heartbreak, to impossible love, I see the non-linear process of growth as omnipresent throughout this collection of work. I hold them all fondly, in their uniqueness, as parts of my heart. Creating this record was a cathartic way of honorning, shedding and refining experiences and eras in my own evolution.” - Lillian
Much of the record was written in Lincoln, Vermont, a small town in the Green Mountains that doesn’t have its own post code or traffic light. With collaborative spirit of Icelandic producer and multi instrumentalist, Thorliefur Gaukur Davidsson, Lillian and Thor began to explore the feeling and sound of Lillian’s songs.
Together, they developed a warm and connective sound that preserved intimacy and warmth of the performance while offering a dynamic range of feeling through instrumental pairings and energetic expression. Spending their winters in Nashville, they decided to embark on tracking “The World to Come” at Bunker Hill Studios in Nashville, TN.

“It was very important to us to preserve the organic feeling of each song, to not loose the essence of creation, sincerity or playfulness ” -Thorleifur
